Travis Wetland 21st Birthday

The Travis Wetland Trust celebrated its 21st anniversary on the 9th of November at the Travis Wetland Education Center.

Morning tea was followed by cutting of a ceremonial cake then the planting of 21 trees including three large kahikatea. After a great barbeque lunch Colin Meurk the Trust’s President lead interested attendees on an informative guided walk around the wetland. A great day was had by all, thank you to everyone who attended especially to our special guest the Patron of the Travis Wetland Trust and our new Mayor, Lianne Dalziel.
